You can empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.

As a Chrysalis volunteer, you will work directly with our clients, helping them prepare for, find, and retain employment. By providing job skills training, individualized support, and encouragement, you will empower people to overcome barriers to employment and achieve their personal and professional goals, setting them up to achieve long-term success in the job market.

We are actively recruiting volunteers* to support clients in person. Remote volunteer opportunities may be available upon request. Please continue reading for more details on volunteer requirements and how to apply.

*In-person volunteers must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis).

What is required of a Chrysalis volunteer?

Please consider the following volunteer requirements before applying:

  • Availability during our operating hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PT)
  • Volunteer opportunities are regular and ongoing (not one-time or event-based)
  • Access to a phone, computer, and Wi-Fi
  • Proficient computer skills & comfortability with Google Drive and Outlook
  • Minimum six-month commitment
  • Ability to volunteer every other week for an hour at a minimum (weekly is also an option)
  • Ability to report to a Chrysalis center as needed
  • 18 years or older
  • Adherence to Chrysalis policies, procedures, and processes
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and booster shot, if eligible (exceptions are limited)
